Hi Pavel,

no worries about your english, it is fine.

To be quite honest, there could be a couple of reasons.

One might be is that AE7 expects the channels to be named "R", "G", "B" and "A".
Try this, in the bottom part of the exrTrader panel, rename the two motion channels to "R" and "G" (just the letters). If you export the motion channel to a separate file, AE7 should be able to read it and assign motion X to red and motion Y to green.

The motion written by LW is float data, and is the distance in pixels that the current image pixel is travelling for the rendered frame. Depending on the plugin you're using the motion data with, you might need to scale down the value (i.e. multiply by a value lower than 1.0).

If you have any further issues, please feel free to post. I'm not _that_ familiar with After Effects, so maybe somebody else would like to chime in as well.

Cheers,
Mike

In addition to previous question i can ask another one. How can i use motion channel exported from LW? I try to import this channel to compositing program but i can't understand what range of values i can use. Imported files looks black even if i assign motion_x and motion_y to R and G color channels. But motion in my scenes exist.

Alike previous interlocutor - sorry for my english. Smiley

Which compositing application are you using?

The motion buffers are stored as float values (this is how LW provides them).

You can try multiplying them in exrTrader using the VIPER preview until you see something - or normalize the flot values in your compositor.
However, this is different depending on the compositing application you use.

Hi, I would like to know if EXtrader export motion X and motion Y vectors, so it works with Fusion 5.2 Vector Motionblur Tool?

Yes. Incidentally I've just used that functionality in a project of mine a few weeks ago.

Can you provide a flow example showing this for Fusion?

I'll post something tomorrow, when I have access to Fusion again.
You'll need Fusion 5.2 though - and it won't work for all elements that LW renders as not all of them produce a proper motion buffer (HVs being an example).
