Topic: Problems with LW9 on OS and exrTrader - Fixed in V1.0a (Read 2551 times)

We have discovered an issue with the basic OpenEXR Saver when running LightWave 9.0 on OSX - it basically doesn't save at all.
We're working on a fix and will release it a soon as possible. We're sorry for the mishap and hope you understand, thank you.
The exrTrader Layered Buffer Export is not affected by this issue.

For anyone who doesn't know, it looks like this particular problem is Newtek's fault. In fact, having the ability to save layered EXR's in OSX thanks to exrTrader actually gets around this bug. Good news for OSX users since who knows when Newtek will fix this.

Well, I've found out what is happening, and I will be able to make it work by adding a workaround for the LW 9.0 release build of LW on OSX only.

The issue has been fixed and a new OSX version (V1.0a) is available for download. We've also updated the main download to include the fixed version for OSX.
Cheers, Mike
