Presets
« on: December 06, 2009, 08:39:17 PM »

Lightwolf: Given how much I like using exrtrader, I hesitate to post this super duper tiny suggestion.  But what the heck...

In the main UI, the base preset I am working with is not displayed.  Yes, I can change/add presets easily & quickly, but I must write down/remember which one I am working with at the moment.
It would be helpful if the Presets drop down would: A) display the selected preset and B) add a (*) asterisk if those settings were modified but not saved.

Currently I am analyzing a "what the heck did I do" situation and I write-down the various preset settings and modifications in a spreadsheet.  Knowing what base preset I have selected would be helpful.

Tnx in advance,

Riff

Hi Riff,

That's the spirit... don't hesitate. And sometimes the smallest request can turn into a really neat feature.
In the main UI, the base preset I am working with is not displayed.  Yes, I can change/add presets easily & quickly, but I must write down/remember which one I am working with at the moment.

Hm, I could add an asterisk to the last loaded preset (or some other way of making it stand out).

I'm not sure about tracking changes, but I'll surely think about it. It's certainly reasonable. At least if you think about presets that way.

If you just take them as quick loading slots (which is more how they work) then it's a different thing.

As I said though, it certainly makes sense and is worth a thought - or two Wink

Cheers,
Mike
